Detailed explanation
eIDAS standardises digital trust services across the 27 EU countries. In practice for a freelancer: a contract signed with advanced eIDAS from Paris is enforceable in court in Berlin or Madrid without additional formality. The regulation also defines Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSP) that issue the certificates. In France, recognised QTSP include Docusign, Yousign, Universign and Certigna.
