Terms of sale
Definition
Legal document governing business relationships between provider and clients. Terms define payment terms, responsibilities, warranties and termination conditions.
Detailed explanation
The T&Cs are a foundational document for your business. For a B2B service in France, they must cover: purpose and scope, description of services, pricing conditions, payment terms and penalties, mutual obligations, intellectual property and transfer of rights, confidentiality, liability and limitations, dispute handling, applicable law. The LME Act (2008) requires that the T&Cs be provided to any client who requests them. For B2C, specific consumer clauses are added (14-day withdrawal, mediation).
